His early involvement in environmental, ecological, and animal-rights activism led him to Buddhism, and his formal training began in 1983 in the Korean Zen tradition.

During this period, he met his principal Tibetan teacher, Venerable Acharya Zasep Tulku Rinpoche, with whom he continues to study. Under Rinpoche’s guidance, he also received training in traditional healing practices. In 2000, he met his Zen teacher in the Sanbō Kyōdan lineage, with whom he also continues to study. In 2006 Venerable Acharya Zasep Tulku Rinpoche authorized him to teach.

He is the founder and guiding teacher of the Snow Lion Meditation Community (formerly the Toronto Mindfulness Community). His approach offers a practical integration of secular mindfulness programs (MBSR/MBCT) with the study and practice of Buddhism. Drawing on decades of training in Tibetan Vajrayana and Zen, as well as traditional healing methods, he offers classes, workshops, and retreats in the Toronto and Owen Sound areas.

At the heart of his work is a simple and direct intention: to provide accessible, everyday tools that help people recognize their inherent worth and successfully navigate life’s emotional and physical challenges with clarity and compassion, for the benefit of all beings.

Theodore Tsaousidis teaches in both a secular and a Buddhist manner, drawing on Tibetan Buddhist and Zen training and on practical healing meditation.

["post-269","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry
["GET
